So what inspired this? Besides living in Miami in winter and wanting to have a real winter and see actual snow? There was a stunning photo submitted to accuweather.com--and I can't seem to find it--featuring a blazing red sunset bordered by snow-covered trees. The juxtaposition of the two opposite elements, while not a unique theme, can be powerful, so I tried my hand at it.

Part of how it turned out is really bugging me, thanks to lossy compression. Might repost later, who knows.
